Our next goal is to facilitate the planning for Del Mar Shores Park over the next couple years. We have heard the community express desires for a community garden, fenced dog park, new tot lot and improved multi-sport field. These efforts take community-wide planning, and eventually, funding for these enhancements.

Until the City of Del Mar is able to take on these efforts, we will continue to be stewards of Del Mar Shores Park, host community events like the Cinema Series and Lobster Festival, and keep Del Mar Shores Park a community priority.

Your financial support of the Friends of Del Mar Parks helps us carry out our mission to acquire, preserve enhance and support recreational, educational and open space in the Del Mar area for the benefit of the greater Del Mar community. The old Del Mar Shores school site has been preserved for recreation and open space, and as a permanent home for the Winston School through the final pay-off of the loan on the Shores property.

Other Ways to Donate

Appreciated Assets: Stocks, bonds, real estate, life insurance, or any other asset that carries no liability, may be used as a gift. For donations of appreciated assets, please call 858-354-4311.

Corporate Matching Gifts: Corporate matching gifts are a great way for you to maximize your personal contribution to the Campaign for Del Mar Shores and increase the impact of your gift. By taking advantage of a company's matching gift benefit, you may be able to double or even triple the amount of your contribution.

Multi-year donations: JOIN THE $41/36 CAMPAIGN with a pledge of $41 per month for 36 months, or choose any amount, for any time length. Payments are made automatically from your credit card account.  Contribute online, or for further information, contact the Campaign at 858-755-6434.

Commemorative gifts:  You can offer tribute to a loved one or friend with a gift made in their honor or memory.  Please include the information on the online or printed form, and we will send an acknowledgement to the individual or family members you designate.
